We are excited to have Community Helpers from the Raleigh Police and Fire Departments as well as local councilman David Cox coming to read to the students!
'Reading Dogs' available for K-2 grader readers. To try to accommodate all readers we will have two students per dog, per session. If we get more dogs this will change to one reader per dog. Each session with the dog 15 minutes
This year we will have 3 waves for checking in:
6:00; 6:15; 6:30
**Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time with photo ID (new Wake County School requirement) for check in**
Dinner will be provided by Snoopy's Hotdogs
When signing up please indicate number of people attending and grades of the students. Each student must be signed up individually for an accurate schedule with the dogs.
Jones Family has 2 adults and 2 students - please enter each student separately indicating name and grade (example: 2nd- Kelly & K-Jason ) with parents indicated ONLY in the comments section of one student. Please do NOT count parents or non-reading students in the quantity section as this takes up a slot for a child to read.
This will ensure we have enough food and can prioritize assigning reading dogs. Priority for reading with the dogs is Kindergarten, 1st grade then 2nd grade.
Each student who visits 3 stations during the family reading night will be entered to win a Kindle Fire 7! Stop by the PTA table on the way out with your punch card.
Can you help us out at our Family Reading Night?
