About the Durant Road Elementary School PTA
What is the PTA?
The DRES PTA works on projects that support our teachers and our students as well as benefiting the DRES community. When you join the PTA at DRES, you become a member of the North Carolina PTA. The North Carolina PTA (NCPTA) is the state’s oldest and largest volunteer organization advocating for the education, health, safety and success of all children and youth while building strong families and communities. PTAs across North Carolina impact more than 685,000 children and their families. Find out more at ncpta.org. How do I get involved? Join the PTA. You can join the PTA anytime during the year. Annual memberships are $12 individual and $20 per family. The PTA will hold several membership drives during the year or you can Join and Volunteer here. Your dues help financially support the great programs offered by the PTA. You're not obligated to give your time. But, we welcome all volunteers. Share your time. Whether you have just a few hours or can give more, every hour helps. Our Volunteer Coordinator can give you more information about upcoming programs or contact any board member. Meet with us. These meetings provide more information about issues important to our school and our students.
